The only way to relieve the pressure and test to see what was going on was to put in an External Ventricular Drain (EVD) in my skull.

The surgery consisted of drilling a hole in my skull and inserting a tube into one of the ventricles which allowed the Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) to drain out a tube if my Inter Cranial Pressure (ICP) reached over a certain pressure. I had my second brain surgery on February 3 to have the EVD inserted to relieve the ICP.
